Standing alone, yet standing strong
Too much to ask for
March 9, 2010Life is like a piano
March 4, 2010I was hanging out at Shie Ming’s place just now and I kinda got excited when I saw a piano in her apartment. Finally I managed to get my hands on a piano!
I taught her how to play simple chords with the piano and she was playing it all wrong at first. All the wrong notes and the wrong keys, it sounded horrible (sorry..ahaha). But then it suddenly struck my mind that life is sometimes like a piano.
A piano has lots of keys on it. Black keys or white keys..you name it! Those keys are like decisions or choices in our lives. Decisions or choices are always laid before us. I could go to the super market with a car or I could just walk over. I could be nicer to that person today or I could just continue to be mean. I could study harder or I could just fail my exams.
Play the wrong note of the song, you’ll turn the song into a disaster. Hit the right notes and you’ll create a symphony. Sometimes the options are pretty narrow and we don’t know which decision to make. Most of the time, this boils down to “Did I make the right choice?”
This is where the music sheet comes in place. The music sheet guides you through the song, helping you to hit the right notes at the right timing.
Now here’s the same as what God does for our lives. The song of our life has already been written down by God. There’s the slow part, the fast part, the climax part, the suspense and also the ending. We hit all those notes right and we’ll get a wonderful song. Hit the notes wrong, all you get is nonsense.
Uni Life Begins
March 1, 2010Uni life began this morning at 9am. The cold weather made it really difficult for me to jump out of my bed.
I had Music Psychology as my breadth subject and it is an interesting subject. The most funny thing happen to me this afternoon. I went in a class and sat down for an hour just to realise that I was in the wrong class at the wrong time as well! Gooshh..I felt so silly sitting down for an hour in the wrong class. I could have went home and slept a while before my actual class begins.
Anyway, I had a chance to be at Victoria Night Market last week. It was the last night market before the next one end of this year. The thing I remembered most was waiting in line to have a taste of the famous Croc Burger! Well they have all sort of meats – kangaroo, ostrich, chicken and so on..but the meat that I really wanted was the croc meat!
After one bite, I felt it was just okay. Not too great, not too bad. Some of you might wonder how it taste like. Well, the texture of it is like fish+chicken and it taste also like fish+chicken. Hahahha maybe crocodiles always eat fish and chicken, thats why they taste like fish and chicken =)
There were live bands
Crowded market
I’ll get one of this shirt before I leave Melbourne! =)
A total difference right up on the ceiling. Beneath is jam packed filled with people, above is simply just awesome
Then there were people giving free dance lessons. Unlike the people in Malaysia, the people there participated in the dance lessons and it was really fun to watch them going cha-cha-cha!
A walk back home finally..
Kept playing in my mind
February 24, 2010As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts – Isaiah 55:9
Sometimes thoughts start kicking in my mind and I always remind myself of this particular Bible verse
Streets of Melbourne
February 22, 2010I managed to meet up with my cousin today and he brought me to a few interesting streets in Melbourne.
Enjoy this series of pictures =)
I couldn’t help but to take this picture of the motorbike. I really like how the sunlight fell on this bike
Here’s something more classic
Hot – hot Melbourne
February 19, 2010How ya going, mate?
It was 33 degrees outside this afternoon and all I did was I slept through the whole day. It’s my third day in Australia and I already miss home so badly. Everything is fine over here. I’m used to the people and the weather.
I’m still feeling very tired from my flight few days back. Air Asia is indeed a lousy airlines. Yes, if there’s any Air Asia employees reading this, the company you work for cheated my money! I was suppose to be on the premium seatings cause I paid for it, but I was given an economic class seatings. The seatings were so, so bad that I barely slept throughout my 8 hours long journey. 9 chairs in one row, it’s really amazing how anyone could be so comfortable.
Anyway, I didn’t really have a chance to use my camera. I was too caught up with settling my stuffs. But, here’s something that you won’t miss out in Melbourne..the Victoria State Library!
I need to sleep right now. Tomorrow is going to be a long, long day for me. Cheers mate =)
Oh yeahhh..my aussie mobile number is 0430015424. If you’re calling from Malaysia, that will be 061430015424 (I think)
Melbourne here I come!
February 16, 2010So I guess this is it. I’m flying off today to Melbourne. It’s gonna be almost a year long before I set foot back in Malaysia.
At the moment, I’m kinda nervous yet at the same time excited for the things that may come my way. I really don’t know what to expect while I’m in Melbourne. People over there are different. The culture is different. The food is different. The lifestyle is different. Weather is different. Internet is faster.
But one thing I know for sure, my God is still the same over in Melbourne. I know He’ll take good, good care of me =)
Maybe our road will cross again in the future!
*Flyyyyyyiing off!*
Profile Pictures
February 12, 2010A lot of people have been asking me lately “Do you take profile pictures?”
Well the answer is “Yes, I do!” Just a few days ago, Sern Yi asked me to take a profile picture for him. I agreed and decided to have something a little bit more ‘classy’ for him as the picture will be used for business purposes.
So here’s something to show you guys what I do.
