Tired mind, tired body

September 3, 2010

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking in the past few days about things related to my future. Honestly, I have no idea what I want in my life right now at the moment. In 3 months time, I’ll be leaving Australia and fly back home. I’m clueless if I should find a job here in Australia or if I should just go home and find a job instead. I’m not sure if I should continue on with my masters. If yes..I’m not sure if I should do it in Australia or in Malaysia as well.

There are so many ‘what if’ and ‘maybe’ which I can never answer all of them. I’m leaving everything into God’s hand and I’m praying that He’ll lead me and open up doors for me. Till now, I have not heard a single thing from Him but I guess in His timing, His plans for my life will be revealed, step by step. All I know is that, God is never late nor early; He’s always on time (:

Putting things aside, I recently found myself an old film camera, a nikon FE2. Shooting in film is really fun! You have no clue at all on what you are shooting. Unlike digital cameras, you don’t get to preview the picture you have taken with a film camera. You just have to go by feeling and really, put more thoughts into your composition. I’ve just develope my first roll of film. I’m still in a ‘try try’ stage..so pictures aren’t exactly that fantastic. Everything was shot with Fujifilm Superia 200 film..and..no editing at all!! You gotta love the colour tone from film!

Winter blues

June 26, 2010

Didn’t know the winter weather could be quite depressing

Hello there (:

Sorry for being a way so long. I had been busy studying or least trying to study in the last two weeks. I made it out alive my first semester in university. I’m in my second day of holidays and I’m already so worn out by my holiday schedules.

I understand completely why girls call shopping as a form of exercise. Bags of clothes on your left and right hand, walking here and there, up and down..that’s equilavent of doing 3 sets of shoulder press, 3 sets of bicep curls and 30 minutes of cardio on the treadmill.

Anyway, I’m gonna promise you guys and girls beautiful pictures during my holidays. I’m so excited to have random photoshoots in Melbourne. My 110cm reflector arrived the other day and I can’t wait to use it! I’ve been dying to do some portraits in winter. Any willing model? =)

Lau!

Goodbye Autumn..

June 2, 2010

What do you know? Autumn has already ended and here comes Winter. The trees are almost balding and it’s getting colder as the day goes by. I never knew creation was this beautiful. The sight of yellow leaves all over the ground and the smell of fresh air is simply amazing. I really can’t wait for my exams to be over. Hopefully I’ll get to go New Zealand at the end of the month. As far as I know, New Zealand has a really scenic landscape. The thought of grabbing my camera and photograph it can make me go all ecstatic.

However, the highlight of my holidays would be spending 9 days in Sydney. I’m looking forward for the Sydney holiday a lot, especially for the seafood. And…and..of cuz I can’t wait for Hillsong Conference 2010!

Anyway, just enjoy the last few pictures from my Autumn collections. The next series would be pictures from Winter! (:

One of my favourite portrait of Autumn

This was photograph at Melbourne University. I couldn’t resist the idea of photographing my friends in front of this arc door (:

My first ever photojournalism. A peaceful protest was going on along Bourke Street. Lucky for me, I had my gears with me.

My favourite!

I’ve never been to a farm before in my life. Vincent brought us to a children farm, something like a petting zoo. Well the only reason why we were there was to have breakfast.

Nothing beats having fresh breakfast from the farm itself! It was my first time eating poached eggs. Well poached eggs are similar to what we Malaysian call ‘telur mata kerbau’, in direct translation, bull’s eye egg. It’s some sorta fusion between half boiled egg as well. The picture below was what I ordered today, the big breakfast. See the two white eggs on top of the bread? Those are poached eggs.

Anyway, just enjoy the series of pictures below. Hope you guys love the autumn feel and especially the ‘lomo’ feel in the pictures. I felt I’ve been over doing it lately, but I really felt thats my autumn theme =)
