However, the highlight of my holidays would be spending 9 days in Sydney. I’m looking forward for the Sydney holiday a lot, especially for the seafood. And…and..of cuz I can’t wait for Hillsong Conference 2010!

Anyway, here’s a sneak preview of the pre-wedding I did the other day. I’m half way through editting the whole lot of pictures. Enjoy!

Well the answer is “Yes, I do!” Just a few days ago, Sern Yi asked me to take a profile picture for him. I agreed and decided to have something a little bit more ‘classy’ for him as the picture will be used for business purposes.

So here’s something to show you guys what I do.

It was really fun setting up the scene. I had to find my black cloth which I bought long time ago to photograph my architecture model. After that, I had tape it unto a wall for it to be my background. My tripod was on standby already cuz I didn’t bother keeping it the other day. I mount my flash unto my tripod and position it at a certain angle and distance away from my subjects.

Sighh..can’t believe I’m flying off so soon =(

Looking back at 2009, I realised that it was indeed an eventful year for me, and especially to my family. My grandma’s death was the highlight of the year. Everyone was really devastated. She lived a good 81 years on earth before she fell ill and went home to be with the Lord. Until today, it isn’t easy to believe that she isn’t around anymore. Sometimes when I come back home, I’ll open my mouth to shout “Popo I’m home”. Not only that, off and on I’ll dream about her and there was once that I dreamt of her death once again. I cried in my dreams and woken up to also realise that I was crying too outside my dreams.

I lost someone else so important in my life this year too. Well, that person isn’t exactly dead. It’s just that things happen and partly I’m to blame for it. If you are reading this, do know that once I’m back from Melbourne I will make things right between us. Let my absence be a good thing for the both of us.

There’s a lot to thank God for this year. I don’t actually know where to start from and I’m afraid that I’ll miss out some since there’re too many. But here it goes..I thank God for

1. My family – Nothing else in my life could be more important than my family. My grandma’s death really taught me to cherish my family a lot. I really thank God for my parents, for their love and care towards me. My mum sometimes have to take train just to let me use the car and there’s no words to express how much I appreciate her sacrifices.

2. Finishing my Architectural Studies – I’ve just completed my studies in Taylors not too long ago. 3 years is a long time and I couldn’t have pulled through my semester if it wasn’t for God’s faithfulness towards me. I came upon a crossroad during my 1st year whether to continue my Architecture course or not. I wasn’t too sure if it was the right choice for me but God assured me that His thoughts are higher than my thoughts, and His ways are better than my ways. Indeed I made a right choice to finish it cause if I had quit, I wouldn’t have met my awesome college friends and also, found my love for photography =)

3. Friends – Whether in church or in college, God placed the right friends in my pathway. Each one of them individually had left a mark in my heart and I’ll forever remember all of them. I always remember this scripture that I’ve read in the bible and it goes – “A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother“, – Prov. 18:24 . I know in context it meant God, but really, there are friends that will love you like a brother.

4. My photography – I think this is something that I should really thank God for. Being involved in photography was something that I’ve never imagine myself being addicted to since young. This year was really a breakthrough for me in photography. Ever since I got my new camera, I’ve grown a lot and learn a lot about photography. I think most of you guys can be my judge. This year I had the most photoshoots as well. A few weddings in my hand and also countless of events, I know God has more installed for me this year! =)

5. Sern Yi and Michelle – I’m no longer a teen anymore. Growing up stages can be really dangerous if you get yourself mixed with the wrong people. I’m so glad that God has placed my sister and Sern Yi to watch over me all the time. Being the youngest in the family, I know I’m very spoilt and childish. Talking to Sern Yi during our gym sessions or eating sessions has really broaden my perception towards things. I can always share with him what I’m going through and he always have the right words to say back to me. As for my sister, she’s really the best sister anyone can ask for. We fight all the time but that doesn’t stop her for loving me. She’ll buy me clothings from Topshop and cook me the best meals anyone could ever imagine all the time! I’m really looking forward for the wedding between the both of you next week. I’m gonna take gooooooood pictures of your wedding…that’s the least I could do.

6. My popo – If there’s anyone in this world that loves me the most, it would be her. Thank you for raising me up like your child. I still remember when mummy wouldn’t let me buy the jig-saw puzzle, you will quietly give me money to buy so, and stood up for me when mummy found out I bought it. It was a pity that my dreams couldn’t be fulfilled. I always dreamt that you’ll be there for my wedding and see my child. I guess God has other plans. I’m really looking forward of seeing you once again, but not now, I’m still not finish in my race on earth.

7. God – I really thank God for God! 22 years of my life and I am what I am today because of You. A thousand times I’ve failed, yet Your mercy remains for me.

That’s all I guess. There are definitely a lot more that I could thank God. I’m looking ahead into this year, 2010. It will totally be a new chapter in my life. Just in a few weeks time I’ll be leaving to Melbourne to finish up my degree. I’m excited, yet at the same time reluctant and afraid. I know I’m gonna miss everyone here in Malaysia. I can’t depart myself from Malaysian food as well. There won’t be any mamak stalls in Melbourne or even if they do have, it’ll be costly. I won’t be gone long..perhaps around 10 months?

I did set my goals or some of you would call it resolutions for 2010. I commit(I think this is a good word to use) myself to :

1. Get my degree paper – With God’s help, I’ll do my best in Melbourne.

2. Loving God, Loving People – To love anyone unconditionally.

3. Set things straight – There are lots of things that I need to straighten up in my life.

4. Take more photoshoot than in 2009 – Do take note that I can do weddings in Melbourne. Or if you’ve so happen to be in Aussie and wanna take a pre-wedding photos, do let me know!

5. Increase my fitness level – I need to start back my jogging days in Melbourne.

6. Closer to God – This is everyday’s goal =)

7. Learn to be more humble – I always believe that pride comes before a fall

Hmmmm…I’ll probably add a few more in as time goes by. Going through this coming year definitely won’t be easy. I know that I’ll fail sometimes, after all I’m only human. But no matter what happens, I know I can always run back to God.

I guess I’ll stop my post here. I’m really very sleep. I’ll have an early sleep today. Happy New Year once again. God bless =)

I got the hunger to go shopping. There are lots of things that I want and need to get. I need clothes for my Aussie stay next year, I need my speedlite, I need a bag, I need an external hardisk, I want new shoes, I want a watch and lots more. Sales are going on everywhere. I should have brought more money to Thailand and do my shopping over there instead. Things are very cheap over in Thailand.

I’ve look through most of the pictures that I’ve taken in Thailand. There are too many pictures that I really like and I find it impossible to edit all 900 of them! Alison suggested that I rate the pictures. The ones that I really really really like I should rate them 5stars and edit them. It’s quite a good idea but then again, I find it really hard to rate all of them.

I decided to edit through pictures of friends this morning. I really weally like the sceneries in Thailand. Check out some of this cool shots of these people.

8 days spent in Thailand were one of the best days spent on earth this year! The food was mind blasting, the people are interesting, the places are beautiful, and God was just so so awesome throughout the 8 days of missions!

I’ve been eating a whole lot during my 8 days in Thailand. I can’t help it. I simply couldn’t find any food that is isn’t nice in Thailand. Not a single place has lousy fried rice. Not a single place has lousy mango rice. The drinks were made as if sugar is free in Thailand. The food were prepared as if chilli grows from any plant.

I really need to lose weight before my sister’s wedding, that’s like in 3 weeks time. Starting today onwards, regular cardio and muscle training every single day. My aim for this week – lose 2 kilos by Christmas! Gonna cut totally on rice and gonna pump up my meat intake. Lesser portion of food, but more subsequent meals to increase my metabolism rate. Push ups and sit ups – 100 repetition when I wake up and before I sleep. Lose 200 calories in cardio workout and the routine weight lifting workouts.

Anyway, I’ll upload photos from my trip in a few days time. I took around 900 photos within the 8 days. It doesn’t sounds much but it’s a good practice for me to compose and take photos that tells a better story rather than taking thousands of photos.

Oh by the way, Thailand have a lot of good places to take pre-wedding pictures. Don’t believe me?

I still remember those days of mine in children church. I would run around church chasing my friends, teasing girls, making lots of noises and throw wet toilet papers unto ceilings! Now I’m all grown up. I don’t think I can do all those stuffs I did back then today. I’m too old for this sorta stuffs…haha.

In the evening I had a pre-wedding photoshoot for Sern Yi and my sister, Michelle. The sun was really beautiful today. The skies were alright although I look like it was gonna rain later on. A rainbow can be seen from afar. Everything was in place except one thing..the location.

Dad wanted us to try Pulau Indah. Well lets just say, it’s a beautiful place but not a place to have your pre-wedding shots taken! Since everyone was there already, the photoshoot was carried on. Photos turn out pretty alright. Didn’t had the mood to photograph due to the location. So..it has been decided that the photoshoot shall resume this coming weekend somewhere else! Can’t wait for it!

I’ll share the pictures with you guys once I’m done with their pre-wedding. But for now..here’s a teaser =)
